Our client is a fast growing company specializing in social campaign strategy and talent management. They are defining the creator and brand experience across the new landscape of entertainment media, with deep expertise in TikTok and short-form content. They seek a proactive Manager with an eye for detail who can excel in a fast-moving work environment.
Looking for a Talent Manager to own a portion of the day-to-day client management roster. The Talent Manager will be tasked with shaping their creators' career trajectories and build their businesses cohesively. Ideal manager will care for the well-being and growth of their talent/ creators, work with precision under tight timeframes, be responsive to all necessary requests around the clock, and have a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities
Serve as day-to-day manager of a select number of creators on their current roster.
This includes almost daily interactions with each creator regarding deal flow + deliverables, press opportunities, general requests, etc.
The role's main requirement is architecting the career trajectory of each rostered creator and discerning whether opportunities are contributing or detracting from long term growth, compared to the short term result i.e. pay rate, brand association, etc.
Much of the role involves negotiating with partners on behalf of the creator, as well as clear and consistent communication with both external partners and creators regarding timelines, deliverables, and expectations.
Each opportunity is to be logged internally within company's project management system; each paid opportunity is to be logged by the manager into an internal accounting system. Talent Managers are expected to procure remittance details for the Accounting Department to invoice on behalf of each creator.
Talent Manager will work with Talent Coordinator(s) on fulfilling partner deliverables and non-brand related work i.e. audio promos, PR opportunities, appearances, etc.
Attend daily stand up meetings with the talent team, along with creator regroup meetings occurring on a bi-weekly or monthly cadence, depending on the creator. In these meetings, the Talent Manager will come prepared with talking points in conjunction with the Talent Coordinator of the respective creator.
Actively respond across the various channels of communication.
Present potential management scouting selections on a weekly basis, as well as attend intro meetings with potential signees.
Keep up with the latest social media trends such as, but not limited to, news stories, memes, trending sounds, etc.
Maintain an organized process and structure
Required Skills
4-6 years of social media marketing (experience working with brand negotiation & deliverables) or talent management experience
Has a passion for TikTok and other social platforms
Able to proactively troubleshoot and problem solve quickly and through the proper escalation process
Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively translate technical language to non-technical stakeholders
Working knowledge of Google Workspace. Trello and Canva knowledge a plus
Excellent collaboration skills
High attention to detail and very organized
Self-starter, a fast learner who has critical thinking
A positive attitude and keen team player
The ability to work within strict branding guidelines
The following skills are not required, but a plus
Experience working at an agency
Ability to analyze data and identify insights to assess campaign performance
