Full Time Job
Our client is seeking a Digital Music Marketing Director. The Director will be responsible for building the digital, mobile and social components of an artist's overall marketing plan, including but not limited to social content, influencer campaigns, digital promotions, digital advertising, artists websites, music & video consumption, direct to consumer purchases, and social/digital partner activations. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, a creative self-starter and willing to do whatever it takes to support our client's artists.
Requirements
• Define, plan, and execute digital marketing campaigns for artists.
• Manage relationships with artists, managers, and other partners.
• Create, develop and manage artist websites in addition to other social and digital channels.
• Contribute to the design and creation of the artist's digital assets, including photo and
video content.
• Measure, analyze and quantify overall campaign performance and develop benchmarks to define success.
• Leverage relationships and expertise between artist teams and social media partners
(TikTok, Instagram/FaceBook, YouTube/VEVO, Twitter, etc) on best practices, content
trends, engagement and promotional opportunities.
• Discover new sites, outlets, influencer accounts to promote artists and maintain
relationships with key sites and partners.
• Participate in the paid media planning and media buying process to ensure tight synergy
between digital creative and distribution.
• Identify viral, digital word-of-mouth marketing opportunities with the goal of driving traffic, fan acquisition, and creating brand awareness for artists.
Qualifications
• Must have 5 years of experience in digital marketing within the music industry,
preferably at a major label. Experience at a digital streaming platform is also welcome.
• Expert knowledge of all current social media and digital platforms, and a proven track
record of amplifying content, creating on platform engagement, and breaking artists
through a social media lens.
• A track record of measurable success planning and executing digital campaigns for
artists at every stage of their journey: from developing artists to superstars.
• Proficient with using Excel, PowerPoint or Keynote, Photoshop, video editing software
• (Premiere or Final Cut), and comfortable with collaboration and asset management tools
like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.
• Passionate music fan with broad knowledge of music & creative marketing.
