Job Description:
Common Sense Networks is seeking an experienced Content Programming Manager to oversee live streaming and on-demand scheduling of a wide variety of kids-based content for the Sensical brand. This individual will have a successful track record of developing/deploying content strategies and curating across multiple platforms. This Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of scheduling and merchandising content for multiple live streaming channels, VOD and digital platforms.
The Programming Manager contributes to the strategic scheduling of content across all Common Sense Networks and digital platforms to maximize viewership, reinforce brand and drive retention.
In this role you will:
Serve as a key member of the Programming team, contributing to the overall scheduling strategy across multiple platforms.
Manage the scheduling and maintenance of live streaming channels via cloud-based scheduling application
Oversee daily in app VOD content merchandising and scheduling via CMS
Support key points in the operational workflow as it pertains to programming
Utilize analytics to define, track and optimize engagement KPI's across platform
Track content monetization related to performance metrics
Strategize and support key programming initiatives including stunts and themes
Work cross-functionally on behalf of programming with multiple internal stakeholders
Liaise with sales team in creation of sponsorship packages
Maintain programming calendar of scheduled network events
Interface with creative services in regards to development of on-air network assets
Possess a knowledge of best practices in metadata creation and copywriting
Align with product development via user experience optimization
Report bugs and submit product feedback as it relates to programming
Proactively contribute innovative ideas and solutions to achieve and exceed objectives
What we need to see on your resume:
3+ years of content scheduling experience
3+ years of developing and implementing programming strategies across multiple platforms and rights sets
Proven track record in building, nurturing and retaining digital audiences
Expertise with cloud-based scheduling systems and content tracking tools
Experience using analytic tools such as Tableau
The X Factor:
Passion and knowledge for the kids content space
Familiarity with the Common Sense Media and its mission
Excellent people management skills and experience of managing teams
Exemplary oral and written skills
Energetic, enthusiastic, disciplined, hard-working, and a total team player
Ability to derive actionable data driven insights against KPI goals
Strong copywriting and editorial skills
Innate ability to troubleshoot quickly and proactively problem solve
Understanding of user generated content platforms and digital creators
Spanish language fluency a plus
