Social & Marketing Manager - Asia focus

Global digital video startup Commercialize TV (CTV) is seeking a passionate, driven, dedicated social and digital marketing specialist. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the formative team building an exciting startup with a vision to become the world's preeminent video hub, with a particular focus on Asia. We're looking for an ambitious self-starter who can help grow and manage diverse digital and social platforms to drive audience to CTV's video content. The current content focus is on two key pillars - Fashion & Action/Adventure. A love of and passion for one or both pillars is an advantage.
As a central member of the content, marketing & creative team, you will have a highly visible role within the organization, with key opportunities to influence and make a difference, with a particular focus on social media and marketing in Asia. If you enjoy taking ownership end-to-end, working in a startup environment, working with a dynamic global team, and having autonomy to define and implement your vision to grow a business - this is the role for you!
We're looking for a social media & marketing leader to define and drive Social & Marketing for CTV, specifically throughout Asia. Audience building is the primary goal and the key will be effectively executing global and localized strategies and leveraging platforms in Asia, including China-specific platforms.
Project management is also an important part of the role - effectively managing execution of social, crowd-sourced, PR, eventing or marketing activities for CTV channels.
We need a great communicator to build and engage our social media communities - someone who can engage our fans with compelling content and innovative opportunities (a particular passion for one of our key content verticals - Fashion and Action & Adventure will be advantageous). You will be a highly organized project manager, with proven ability to juggle multiple competing priorities - both short term and long term. You will be proficient in social, marketing, execution and also have a deep understanding of both Western and Chinese social platforms. You will have a deep passion for video content and thrive working in an incredibly fast-paced dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
• Help define, and take responsibility for executing the marketing objectives and strategies for Social Media Marketing for CTV (including C Fashion and C Action & Adventure channels, plus new channels as they come on board), with a particular focus on Asia and driving video steams to our chosen platforms
• Work with the Chief Content Officer (CCO) to create and localize (to Asian markets) the Social Media Marketing playbook; execute the plan with high sense of urgency and bias for action
• Ensure CTV channel tone of voice is consistent across all channels at all times
• Own the key CTV relationships with Social platform partners - including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram but especially Weibo and Wechat
• Define success; help define KPI's (targets); measure performance and drive continuous improvement/learning process for CTV in this space, including regular reporting and insights
• Manage our social media communities on a daily basis - with a view to increasing viewership to our key video platforms - including: collaborate with internal and external teams to source and create compelling content, set our overall conversation calendar, leverage geo-targeting capabilities to engage fans in more relevant and meaningful ways, monitor our social media presence and quickly respond to questions and comments, proactively reach out and engage fans and followers, stay abreast of competitor activity - all with a key view to increase stream volume to our key platforms
• Manage KOL and influencer programs throughout China in particular
• Define and implement competition concepts to engage fans and increase CTV's talent pool
• Stay abreast of industry changes and recommend when/how CTV should engage on emerging
platforms
Requirements:
1. Min 5-7 years' experience required
2. Prior experience in leveraging Social Media to build brands/businesses, strongly preferred
3. Thorough understanding of different facets of social media marketing, community management, and engagement strategies. We expect this candidate to have a point of view on social media marketing and what CTV - and specific channels - should and should not do
4. Experience in online marketing
5. A passion for video content and understanding of audience development
6. Excellent interpersonal skills (externally and internally at all levels) and demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Great attention to detail
9. Great project management skills
