Workplace Requirements:
Prospective interns should be reliable, self-motivated, persistent, discreet, authentic and up-beat individuals who would like their first foot in the door to the entertainment industry. Interns must be fast learners and creative thinkers with a good sense of humor. The ideal candidates will possess exemplary written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Knowledge of SEO and ChatGPT
-Social Media updates
• Market and promote talent, projects and/or company utilizing industry databases, social networks, and websites;
• Answer and direct phone calls and prepare written correspondences (including correspondence with casting directors);
• Correspond with bookers, managers and agents, comedians and vendors;
• Assist in the production and coordination of comedy shows and industry events;
• Arrange meetings and auditions;
• Research projects;
• Act as a welcome representative to talent and audience;
• Initiate calls as needed/appropriate;
• Assist and monitor additional administrative tasks, as assigned, including internal and external document creation.
Minimum Qualifications:
• A sense of humor and interest in stand-up comedy
• Knowledge of office management
• Computer proficiency and excellent writing skills
• Ability to articulate professionally on the phone
• Sound business judgment and excellent problem solving skills
• Excellent at multitasking, and the ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to handle pressure and fast-paced environment in a professional manner
• Ability to work in an unpaid Internship for academic credit.
• Commitment: 3-4 months minimum including evening and weekend hours.
• Intern hours range from 15- 40 hours/week. Internships are flexible.
Salary/Benefits

The Comedy Village in Times Square is NYC's newest comedy club, located at 352 West 44th Street, just a block away from Times Square and adjacent to the theater district. With over 20 years of experience producing shows in the city, the club has hosted some of the biggest names in comedy, including Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, and Louis CK. Thousands of people have visited to enjoy performances from the hottest comics in the area. The club is also seeking internship candidates interested in stand-up comedy, talent management, marketing, event and film production, as well as business and creative writing.
