Overview and Responsibilities
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic publicity professional to lead efforts for fast-growing digital content offerings at Comedy Central, Paramount and TV Land, as well as select linear series across all three brands. This position will work closely with talent, producers and brand executives on launches and ongoing press efforts and be called upon to help shape brand messaging for the digital space.
The ideal candidate has experience in Entertainment publicity and possesses a big-picture attitude and history of shown success in executing communications initiatives and creativity in using new tactics and tools to communicate internally and externally.
This role reports to Vice President, Communications in New York City.
Responsibilities:
• Build and implement multiplatform publicity campaigns for all digital content and initiatives, as well as select linear series across all three brands
• Coordinate interviews and press junkets with talent and executives, prioritize and handle on-set press during series production, arrange photo shoots and appearances
• Build and edit press materials for projects
• Craft key talking points and lead all aspects of internal and external messaging around projects
• Explore and execute trade media opportunities surrounding assignments
• Lead junior colleagues on select projects
• Understand and promote brand messaging in pitches/stories
Basic Qualifications
• Relevant experience and positive relationships with key digital content and entertainment media contacts, both consumer and trade
• Highly organized with outstanding attention to accuracy and detail
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to prioritize and be flexible to shifting priorities/deadlines
• Ability to run multiple tasks and activities simultaneously
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience in entertainment industry
• Proactive, self-starter
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Publicity
• Bachelor's degree required

• Available to travel and work some evenings and weekends for screenings, events, press junkets, etc
