Overview and Responsibilities
The Promotion Scheduling & Strategy team at Comedy Central is responsible for the long-term and short-term strategic promotion and scheduling of the linear domestic channel and the Caribbean channel. The Promotion Strategy team oversees the following:
• Strategically scheduling and adjusting promos
• Requesting work orders and graphic requests for on air promotion
• Scheduling promos for the linear Caribbean feed and multiplatform channels
Responsibilities:
• Schedule all promotional elements on the channel including promos, id's, psa's, interstitials, movie packaging, graphics and credit crunches
• Time out and proof each log before it is sent to traffic, merged with the Gabriel log and sent to the Network Operations Center (NOC)
• Enter promo cartsheets into the On-Air Pro system
• Working with the NOC to resolve any operational issues that occur after the log is processed
• Be available on call after hours to answer scheduling and timing questions, as well as sending eLog updates if necessary
• Request promos and graphics from the creative team to support all the on air initiatives for programming and sales, including stunts, series & specials
• Implement all integrated marketing sponsorships on daily logs and ensure that the sales elements match up with the creative elements
• Work cross-departmentally to support ancillary business groups (Fan Engagement, Digital, Enterprises, etc.)
• Contribute to special projects on an as-needed basis
Basic Qualifications
• 1-2 years of experience working in television (strong internship experience considered)
Additional Qualifications
• A passion for the television industry!
• Cable experience is a plus
• Strong interest in on-air media strategy
• Knowledge of promo scheduling system (PTS) or On-Air Pro is a plus
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
• Highly organized
