Summary:
Comcast's Internal Communications team creates and executes the internal communications strategies that support the business strategy for our Fortune 100 Company. The new role of Executive Producer, Internal Communications will oversee internal broadcasts and video production for internal projects and support key external projects, including video production for the corporate web site, corporate b-roll, and select external events. In addition to managing in-house production, the Executive Producer will also oversee outsourced production needs.
Responsibilities
• Act as executive producer on internal video production, internal broadcasts, and select videos for external audiences, including setting creative direction, producing and scriptwriting
• Produce videos for significant company meetings such as Management Conference, Town Halls and employee recognition ceremonies
• Oversee video production needs for corporate web site and manage/maintain corporate b-roll package
• Manage staff of full-time employees and freelancers within the production environment, including studio operations, editing, graphics and crew
• Develop and manage effective internal and external partnerships, including on-air talent, producers, crew and field contacts for remote shoots
• Seek and secure compelling talent and guests; Conduct research and interviews for on-camera interviews; coach on-camera interviewees
• Oversee edit sessions
• Oversee the maintenance of existing studio equipment and edit suites as well as integration of new equipment
• Create/manage video archive system
• Create, analyze and monitor production budget and schedules
• Establish new processes, procedures and methods that improve production outcomes
• Responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to maximize and maintain viewership of internal broadcasts
• Corporate Communications
Tasks:
• Establishes strategies and processes for all Employee Communications initiatives including execution plans.
• Oversees the development of broad-based Employee Communications tools; provides employees with messages and industry/competitive context for all key business initiatives. Establishes change or deviation in current policies to meet competitive situations.
• Establishes company best practices and tools for communications and persistently researches new industry tools and practices.
• Directs and reviews company-wide communications including advertising/marketing, press relations, creative editorial and design services, and internal communications.
• Establishes and oversees initiatives designed to support key business objectives, short- and long-term goals, and projects.
• Oversees individual systems and functional areas to build awareness and use of corporate communications vehicles.
• Establishes budgets and reviews structures. Reports all Employee
• Communications expenses and ensures accuracy.
• Develops, mentors, and oversees staff.
• Participates in training and performance reviews.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required; broadcast or video production discipline essential; corporate experience desirable
• Strong scriptwriting experience required
• Video editing experience desirable - FinalCutPro or Avid
• Minimum of 8 - 12 years of relevant experience
• Generally requires 14+ years related experience
• Must be able to build and maintain good working relationships with a diverse group of individuals and personalities
• Expert knowledge of full creative and production process and equipment requirements
• Experience working with executives and senior staff
• Proper management of outsourced vendors and freelancers
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Excellent verbal communications and interpersonal skills
• Some travel required
• A 24/7 professional capable of juggling projects at night and/or on weekends
