Assistant Team Photographer
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Team Photographer will assist in game day and non-game day events. Assist in management of all photo inventory/usage and archives, and work with all areas of the organization as it relates to photo projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Help in execution of full photographic coverage of all 81 home games in the season, including pregame ceremonies, candid shots of players, coaches and fans around the game, any special events around the game, and the game action itself, from first pitch to postgame interviews and celebrations.
• Execute full photographic coverage of organizational events throughout the year as assigned, including community events, Rockies Fest, Rockies Caravan, Fantasy Camp, press conferences, concerts, etc.
• Assist in management of team photo archive: keeping metadata, captions and galleries updated in a timely manner. Color correct/crop/edit photos as needed.
• Edit and caption photos for distribution to Getty Images.
• Assist the Social Media Team as needed.
• content development, events, marketing initiatives and administrative needs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Professional photographic experience, both action and portrait, video proficiency a plus
• High knowledge of photo equipment
• Creativity in ideas and execution
• Computer skills with database management and photo editing software
• Ability to multi-task
• Proficiency in Lightroom, Photoshop, Photomechanic and Photoshelter
• Knowledge of baseball preferred
• Consistent, punctual and regular attendance
• Professional image and demeanor, around baseball personnel and players especially
• Strong ability to work well with coworkers at all levels of the organization.
WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:
• Non-traditional work schedule with frequent extended hours and possible travel, as needed, from February through September, with possible extension into October with postseason. Other months more traditional.
SALARY RANGE:
• $22 per hour. This is a temporary status, part-time position not eligible for all company benefits.
