Account Executive, Group Sales
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Account Executive, Group Sales position focuses on selling and maintaining a comprehensive array of group tickets for the Colorado Rockies games with an emphasis on Youth Sports, Senior Groups, and Non-Profits.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for generating ticket revenue through establishing or developing accounts through lead generation and networking to a wide range of clientele including Youth Baseball & Softball Programs; Senior Programs; Non-Profit Associations; and Additional membership groups
• Ensure that ticketing clients are educated on ticketing systems, maximizing their investment, and fulling utilizing their tickets
• Alongside other departments, this position will create, promote, oversee and/or implement special group themed days & events such as the Silver Slugger Program, pre-game ceremonies and batting practice; parades and on-field performances as applicable
• Collaborate with marketing and other departments to push forward lead generation plans and the execution of key sales campaigns; and develop year-round sales prospecting events and creative business development initiatives
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all current clients, sales invoices/records of transactions, and prospects with Salesforce
• Partner with Group Sales Managers and Group Department staff on monitoring, tracking, reporting, and analyzing sales processes and results
• Create new business opportunities while maintaining a waiting list of new clients for upcoming seasons
• Assist with renewal process for groups who purchased 20 or more tickets
• Assist with revision of existing group literature (i.e., fliers, letters, etc.) and creation of new group literature
• Other duties may change or be assigned as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, communications, or sports management, and/or combination of equivalent experience
• Minimum one year of high-volume sales experience, preferably with ticketing or within the sports and entertainment industry
• Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization and throughout the community
• Organizational and time management skills with a results-oriented approach to a high-volume sales process
• Proficient computer skills including internet applications, CRM systems, and ability to learn and master new software programs such as ticketing systems (Archtics)
• Proven ability to collaborate cross functionally and oversee large-scale events and programs
• Passion for nurturing positive and inclusive sales cultures and long-term growth of sales team
WORK SCHEDULE:
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that can occasionally include seasonal at-game duties during evening and weekend home games
• Ability to navigate the ballpark in order to visit clients during home games and escort potential customers on seat tours, showing various seating options and facilities on both game days and non-game days. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.
SALARY RANGE:
$50,000 annual base salary plus commission.
