Full Time Job
POSITION SUMMARY:
Collaborate in the execution of all marketing and advertising projects that come from throughout the organization, sharing in the execution within the in-house creative team. These projects include graphic design, magazine layout, writing/editing advertising copy and generally generating creative content for all areas of the organization.
Departmental Point Person: Administrate club's advertising content and act as point of contact for all departments in need of creative work from our in-house team.
• Coordinate internal advertising reads for radio and television broadcasts, including calendar planning, communication with departments and writing the reads, as needed.
• Manage incoming creative projects through the online program, collaborating with in-house creative team to assign each project appropriately. Work closely with requesting departments on the project details, gathering all pertinent information, setting timelines for completion, providing specifications for bidding out print costs and communicating with printers as needed.
• Handle incoming advertising inquiries, responding to emails, collecting information and pitching new ideas.
Creative Multitasker: Be able to juggle a mix of large and small projects, often with overlapping priority and urgency.
• Be able to proficiently produce a wide range of graphic design work that could entail creating vector art and logos from scratch, social media graphics, promotional item design, billboards, print/digital ads, magazine layouts, posters/banners, flyers/postcards and more.
• Assist with Rockies Magazine, helping design/layout pages and editing stories. Coordinate magazine ads and ensure brand guidelines are followed.
• Coordinate within department to ensure consistent creativity and quality work, while also being willing to think outside the box and voice/demonstrate creative ideas.
Team Player: As a member of the Communications & Marketing Department, must be willing to help in all aspects of the department and organization, especially as it relates to events, marketing initiatives and administrative needs.
• Assist with website updating, tracking the website for discrepancies and creating assets following MLB's guidelines.
• Assist with planning and execution of Rockies Fest, Caravans and multicultural program administration.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• 2-3 years experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Writing/editing skills and baseball knowledge a plus; ability to multi-task and time manage; attention to detail a must
• Strong communication skills, willingness to take constructive criticism and learn from it
• Spanish speaker/writer a plus
• Team player with strong organizational skills, working within a file-sharing environment
• Professional image and demeanor; consistent, punctual and regular attendance
WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:
Hours generally 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, with some longer hours or weekend work as needed.
SALARY RANGE:
Salary Range: $44,000-$48,000 per year. This is a regular status, full-time position eligible for all company benefits.
