CNN is looking for a highly experienced creative visual content creator who is
passionate about both journalism and visual storytelling . Someone with
demonstrable expertise in shooting, editing, producing, and writing . This role blends the skills of a craft cinematographer and editor with the agility of a field producer who values cinematic storytelling, creative execution and thrives in fast-paced news environments.

As a core member of CNN's multi-platform content production team, you will shoot and edit original stories across a range of topics from breaking news and politics to cultural features, science, travel, and beyond. You'll work independently and collaboratively to create engaging content that connects with CNN's global audience across digital, social, and broadcast platforms.

Your Role Accountabilities...
1. Shooting
• Lead all aspects of field cinematography , capturing polished, editorially sound
• and creative footage under various conditions.
• Expert in the operation of current professional cinema style cameras,
• contemporary lighting styles and techniques and audio recording with a high level of technical proficiency.
• Apply a cinematic eye to everything you shoot from breaking news to long-form
• features and the ability to adjust visual approach based on platform and story
• needs.

2. Editing
• Own the post-production process , crafting visually engaging content using
• Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and other industry-standard tools.
• Highly skilled use of graphics, audio & sound design, shot selection and pacing
• to enhance storytelling.
• Deliver content optimized for multiple platforms including digital, mobile, social
• and broadcast.

3. Producing
• Take stories from pitch to publication: develop story ideas, plan shoots, manage
• logistics, lead crews, and coordinate post workflows.
• Collaborate with correspondents, reporters, and editorial stakeholders to ensure
• journalistic accuracy and creative cohesion.
• Maintain deadlines, manage budgets, and ensure logistical and editorial
• readiness for every shoot.

4. Writing
• Write scripts, interview questions, on-screen text, and voiceover copy that
• supports the story and meets CNN's editorial standards.
• Research, conduct pre-interviews, and help shape narrative angles during
• development, production and post-production.

Qualifications & Experience...
• A versatile visual journalist with minimum of 5 years of professional
• experience in video production, preferably in news, documentary, or digital
• media.
• A highly skilled shooter , comfortable with camera set-up and operation,
• lighting, and audio equipment in fast-moving or unpredictable field environments.
• An experienced editor , proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and familiar with
• motion graphics and color grading tools.
• A thoughtful producer who can lead projects independently and/or while
• collaborating with Reporters, Correspondents or others as required.
• A clear writer with strong editorial instincts and an ability to communicate
• complex ideas through concise scripts and interviews.
• A team player who thrives under deadline pressure and adapts quickly to
• evolving editorial priorities and will periodically help with daily news coverage.
• Willing and able to travel on short notice , carry equipment (50–70 lbs.), and
• work non-traditional hours when the news demands it.
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Film/TV/Digital Production, Communications, or equivalent experience.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $104,370.00 - $193,830.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
