e talent producer will work closely with CNN's Chief Legal Affairs Correspondent by helping to craft packages, providing editorial direction and logistics support. This position acts as a liaison between the on-air talent and various CNN platforms.Your Role Accountabilities…
• The talent producer will research and write for the on-air talent as well as give constant updates of the latest developments pertaining to coverage
• Conduct background research on interview subjects and segments, and occasionally communicate with sources on stories
• Pitch stories and identify sources/experts as well as identify elements for packages, including video and graphics
• Produce packages with high production value, effective use of video and graphics; coordinate logistics for interviews
• Work closely with the supervising producer for the Justice team and digital editors on breaking news/alerts that are urgent
• Amplify work of on-air talent through social media platforms and on CNN.comQualifications and Experience…
• 5+ years experience with package production, script and digital writing and field production
• Justice news background and interest a plus
• Field producing experience a plus
• Excellent writing skills and ability to produce quality work quickly
• Must possess ability to enterprise ideas and work well independently as well as within a team
• Must be able to function efficiently in high pressure environments
• Creative thinker with the ability to find new and entertaining ways to present information and to identify new angles to approach stories as well as the organizational skills to bring the reporting together
