Full Time Paid Internship
The Job
• The CNNI Planning intern will become an active member of the guest-booking team.
• You will attend editorial meetings, pitch guest segments, call and email prospective guests, handle logistics, conduct research and pre-interviews, and assist with administrative tasks.
• You will observe interviews and other field shoots when possible and shadow employees in other CNN departments upon request.
• Your schedule will be mostly Monday-Friday, roughly 9am-5pm, but may include adjusted hours and weekend work.
The Essentials
• Candidates must have a strong interest in journalism and international affairs.
• You must have excellent communication and writing skills.
• You must be available 40 hours/week.
• Once fully trained, you are expected to show initiative by offering to take on assignments.
• Journalism majors are preferred, but others may apply.

Summer 2020 program dates are June 1st through August 7th. Interns are paid a competitive-wage based on location and relocation is not provided. Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled or within 6 months post-graduation. Most positions are targeted to upperclassmen and graduate students.
