CNN is looking for a Staff Product Designer for our Interactive team. This is a team that rapidly designs and implements experimental new features used across the digital org, including games, data visualizations, live commentary and community features. The ideal candidate will be a full-stack, data-driven, innovative and strategic Product Designer, with extensive experience designing and delivering for both responsive web and native mobile experiences.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• You will be an integral part of CNN's Engagement team, creating interactive user experiences that engage and delight users.
• You will partner closely with product and editorial on design strategy that increases user engagement and retention.
• You will be embedded in a strategic, cross functional team that will conduct rapid prototyping to iteratively test and validate new content formats and engagement mechanisms.
• You will guide the overall design vision, using user research, analytics, and audience insights to iterate on content delivery and personalization.
• You will partner closely with design and product across CNN Engagement teams to integrate new content features across CNN digital surfaces.
• You will work with CNN's design system team over time to build a library of re-usable components based on your ongoing design experiments.
• You must be innovative, committed to pushing the boundaries of CNN.
• You must be a highly collaborative self-starter and able to manage your projects and deadlines, whilst also being able to pivot as needed.
Qualifications & Experience…
• 8+ years' work experience as a cross-platform product designer, with at least 4 years working on responsive web design and/or native mobile experiences. Experience in media companies is a plus.
• Mastery of Figma and prototyping.
• Impeccable visual and interaction design skills.
• Expertise in creating and modifying components and utilizing a mature design system kit.
• Mastery of best UX design practices, including usability principles, user research methodologies and testing techniques.
• Solid understanding of mobile and web technologies.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in program management tools such as Confluence and Jira.
• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $128,100.00 - $237,900.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
