Part Time Paid Internship
What does our department do?
The spring 2019 CNN-LA Newsource Intern will have the opportunity to observe, participate in and learn about what goes on in the entertainment news division at a major newsgathering organization.
What will you be doing?
Interns will be:
• Video logging
• Assisting producers on shoots
• Training to write for air
• Assisting in studio when needed and participating in various newsroom and production activities
What do we need from you?
• Interns must have at least a 3.0 GPA and should have a strong interest in broadcasting, communications, entertainment, journalism and/or the news industry.
• You should be available to commit to at least ten (10) weeks and no more than twelve (12) weeks .
• Be proficient in basic computer skills and applications and be comfortable using Windows platforms.
• Should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interns must be comfortable working alone and within a team.
• Must have familiarity with basic research skills using online search engines and databases is a plus.

• Interns are paid a competitive wage, based on location and relocation is not provided.
• Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled juniors, seniors, or grad-students.
