The Team
• CNN's Atlanta Bureau: We are news gatherers who are tasked with finding unique content for our various CNN platforms throughout the Southeast. Respond to and cover breaking news for all CNN Networks and platforms 24/7. Research, pitch and write original stories for CNN.
The Job
The Row is the editorial quality-control nerve center for all CNN platforms, located in the main Atlanta newsroom. The Row is responsible for news group-wide script and story approval, including investigative scripts, documentaries and sensitive and controversial stories. - The Row ensures that stories meet high standards of story-telling, clarity, accuracy, quality, fairness and balance, while avoiding libel, defamation and use infringement issues. - Row editors sign off on TV and original online reporting, as well as other sensitive editorial matters.? Researchers on The Row fact-check each piece before it is cleared for edit.?
The Daily
• Fact check scripts, digital articles and long-form stories
• Review pieces for editorial accuracy, fairness and balance
• Field editorial requests from CNN correspondents around the world by phone, email and in-person, and help track projects
The Essentials
• Candidates should be pursuing a career in journalism
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid reporting and research skills
• Strong time management skills
• Well versed in current events, aware and interested in domestic and international news
• Exposure to social media is essential
• Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship?

Spring 2020 program dates are January 13th through April 3rd. Interns are paid a competitive-wage based on location and relocation is not provided. Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled or within 6 months post-graduation. Most positions are targeted to upperclassmen and graduate students?
