We're hiring a Production Assistant to work with our talented team of award-winning brand marketing professionals. This role will support a variety of projects across multiple platforms and be responsible for marketing many of the iconic CNN brands including CNN Domestic, CNN International, CNN in Español, Politics, Special Events and the new CNN All Access Subscription. Working out of our Techwood campus in Atlanta, you'll report to the Director of Production.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Track project budgets, invoices, timelines, deliverables and agency agreements.
• Update internal cost trackers, agency grids, airdate grids and campaign budget bases in Airtable.
• Project manage effectively and hold stakeholders accountable to remain on schedule and avoid overages in a considerate but firm manner.
• Coordinate the delivery of marketing assets, working cross-functionally with the media strategy, creative, design, production and promo scheduling teams.
• Archive all assets: key art, teases, trailers and cutdowns, launch and episodic promos, social content, radio spots, original music, etc. etc. upon wrap.
• Create and distribute the weekly reel highlighting our department's recent work for awareness.
• Assist with awards submissions for department's consideration in relevant categories for News & Documentary Emmys, Clios, GEMAs, etc. etc.
• Conduct video and photo research to support creative teams, selecting the best footage and soundbites for each project.
• Assist producers during edit sessions learning the craft of scriptwriting, editing, selecting music, and supervising voice-over sessions.
• Version and deliver product browsing videos, pre-roll spots, trailers and other assets to HBO Max and the CNN streaming service.
• Assist on set with any marketing or licensed feature film/TV shoots.
• Anticipate needs for upcoming projects to help allocate internal and external resources effectively.
• Participate in brainstorms and concepting sessions with creative teams.
Your Qualifications & Experience…
• 1+ years of experience in an entertainment agency environment preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media or other related field(s).
• Proficiency in Airtable, Sharepoint, Frame.io, Adobe Premiere and Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with MediaSource, Mira and other newsgathering apps.
• Exceptional project management, organization and multitasking skills.
• Strong attention to detail balanced with an understanding of the overall picture.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear and succinct communication with a high consideration of others is a must.
• Professional judgment and trustworthiness to handle confidential information.
• A genuine interest in the news, current events, politics, CNN and our programming.
• A can-do attitude and positive mindset.
