Producer (Temporary)
Location: Washington, District of Columbia, United States of America
The team with Who's Talking to Chris Wallace, seeks an experienced temporary Producer to join their team in Washington, D.C.!
Your Role Accountabilities...
• This producer works with the team to help edit interviews, identify editorial highlights, and produce social content.
• The ability to think critically, act efficiently and perform creatively is important – especially when it comes to script writing, element production for interview subjects, and time management.
• The Producer will work closely with other team members, editors and management to ensure that all the different aspects of the interviews fit the show's mission and CNN's standards.
• The producer must be able to produce segments under tight deadlines.
Your Qualifications & Experience...
• 5+ years producing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of television production required, as well as strong writing skills.
• Control room experience is needed, as well as the ability to excel on a deadline.
• Requires a creative thinker and efficient performer, who can make even the dullest interviews shine on TV.
• Requires keen editorial judgment in helping to identify interesting interview subjects, as well as news headlines made during the taping.
• Must be able to work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require.
