This is a Full Time Job
We are the department that produces the network's biggest editorial events as well as many smaller ones. From debates, town halls, and election nights, to overseas Presidential trips, funerals, and the royal wedding, we've produced them all. Don't be fooled, however; before all the pomp and circumstance viewers see on TV, we are the planners, the location scouts, the production & logistics experts, the carpet vacuum-ers, the list makers, the transportation schedulers and then we help execute the coverage on site.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, whose attention to detail is beyond the norm, who thrives in a team environment and wants to do the not-so-glamourous daily work.
This producer will primarily be responsible for multicamera field interviews taking the lead role on site as the primary contact for the editorial and production teams during planning, setup and delivery of live events. The producer will also serve as a liaison for key production sites in the DC area as well as managing assignments on behalf of the Network TV Pool. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the company infrastructure and also a keen interest in applying new technologies in different and innovative ways to improve our daily workflows. This role will also be involved in larger network wide Special Events.
