The Producer II will discuss segment elements and suggested questions with the Executive Producer and make important editorial decisions.
Your Role Accountabilities…
The Producer II is responsible for producing high profile guest segments. Segments include interviews with newsmakers, panel discussions, and reporters. Must pitch compelling and creative segment ideas daily. The producer needs strong editorial judgment with the ability to craft hard-hitting segment questions based on thorough research that help to shape the segment and lead to making news headlines. Individual must also be able to select key visual elements to ensure a highly-produced segment, including soundbites and graphics. This individual should be able to handle multiple segments on different topics for the same show. Strong writing skills and the ability to identify and pitch compelling and creative segment ideas on a daily basis are required. Strong writing skills and a deep knowledge of politics are a must. Must have the ability to write package scripts on tight deadlines.
Qualifications and Experience…
• 7+ years producing experience with live shows and control room experience
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive script writing experience
• Field producing and package producing experience
• Extensive experience in covering politics, including producing major newsmaker interviews.
• Must be able to work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require
• Requires a creative thinker with the ability to find new and entertaining ways to present information, new angles to approach stories, and the organizational skills to bring it all together
• Outstanding news judgment, critical and strategic thinking, and an ability to be persistent yet diplomatic are critical for the position
• Positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively

Pay Range: $117,583.00 - $218,369.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
