Your Role Accountabilities...
• Developing ideas for opinion pieces, identifying potential writers, editing their work, fact checking, writing headlines, adding potential links and shepherding the work through the editing/vetting process
• Producing opinion articles in the content management system and selecting related photos, videos and graphic elements
• Posting newly published pieces on CNN Opinion's social media and working with the CNN programming team to place pieces appropriately
• Helping to maintain the Opinion section as well as a schedule of upcoming articles and events
• Finding more ways to engage audiences in opinion content
• Working cooperatively with the rest of the Opinion team and other digital teams, all CNN platforms, shows and units, including Standards & Practices, to maximize the quality and impact of Opinion content

Qualifications and Experience...
• Editing/reporting experience in print, online or in broadcast
• Strong news judgment
• Lively interest in news of government, politics, business, culture, science and the arts
• Must be capable of quickly reading and absorbing news developments from many sources and creatively conceptualizing ideas for opinion pieces, then working cooperatively with potential writers
• Needs to have the ability to critically edit articles on complicated subjects for accuracy

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $62,790.00 - $116,610.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
