Your New Role...
As a Motion Designer within the CNN Creative Marketing group, your primary focus will be to create innovative, effective and arresting design that builds brands to support our on-air, and digital initiatives and overall marketing goals. At this level you are a self-motivated designer experienced in building world-class key art across platforms, with an eye for detail. You are an enthusiastic storyteller that creates visually captivating designs. You have a passion for upholding the integrity of CNN's brand standards across all properties. You'll make valuable contributions to the overall design direction on key campaigns. You are a design generalist, with a toolbox that includes concepting, storyboarding, illustration, motion design. You are comfortable designing for Linear, digital, social, print, OOH and are familiar with all aspects of the design and production process. You are curious and flexible, and think broadly about how your designs contribute to the larger brand identity of your assigned properties.
Your Role Accountabilities...
The Motion Designer will be part of a team responsible for building and marketing across the entire portfolio of CNN brands. The designer will work collaboratively with the creative team to develop key art concepts, create style frames and comps, mood boards, and Print/OOH mechanicals. You will have the exciting opportunity to design, animate and edit for standalone show promos, show packages, sizzle reels, Image spots, experiential design campaigns, live events and oversee post/compositing sessions to deliver a cohesive creative across all brand deliverables for both on-air and across digital platforms.
Your Qualifications & Experience...
You will bring your vibrant creative mindset and detailed eye for typography, color theory, layout design, timing and movement, and will be expected to deliver creative excellence to match the thrill and energy of a newsroom environment. This person is also expected to stay abreast of industry trends, new practices, design/production tools and advertising platforms. This individual must be an experienced problem solver with the ability to understand editorial storytelling, marketing strategy and to translate conceptual ideas into creative solutions. It is also important for this person to be comfortable articulating their design concepts to other marketing team members and be comfortable in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, marketing, news and entertainment with excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Network & Agency experience preferred
• BA/BS or BFA/MFA degree in graphic design, motion design, or relevant experience.
• At least 3 years professional experience producing high-end creative work.
• Expert at Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and InDesign.
• Well-rounded and strong conceptual designer - who is also very proficient with motion design, typography, color theory, illustration, photography, and layout.
• Design experience working with rapid conceptualization and delivery times.

Pay Range: $71,400.00 - $132,600.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
