Full Time Unpaid Internship
The Job
• Oversee the application of still imagery across all CNN Digital platforms (homepage, mobile web, app)
• Provide single images and/or galleries for stories, illustrations, special projects
• Image research for departments across CNN Digital
• Hire photographers for breaking news, enterprise and feature stories
• Establish and maintain relationships with photographers and agencies across the globe
• Working side-by-side with the CNN Photos team as we provide images and galleries for all CNN Digital platforms on a daily basis
• Deep archival research across over 20 photo agencies
• Pitch ideas for photo features
The Essentials
• A keen eye for photo editing
• Ability to keep up with the fast pace of daily, breaking news
• Creative problem solving
• Sound understanding of communications law and the importance of licensing images
• Skills in Photoshop and Photo Mechanic are preferred
• Skills in content management systems are not required but preferred

Fall 2019 program dates are September 16th through December 6th. Interns are paid a competitive-wage based on location and relocation is not provided. Participation in the internship program is reserved for students who are currently enrolled or within 6 months post-graduation. Most positions are targeted to upperclassmen and graduate students.
