The Executive Administrative Assistant provides a full range of administrative support to the Executive(s) such travel and Outlook calendar management, schedule meetings, prepare expense reports, answer and screen calls, maintain office supplies, and process invoices. Individual must be pro-active and able to prioritize while handling a demanding, ever-changing calendar for the Sr. Executive(s). This individual must be able to effectively coordinate the Executive's schedule and all other necessary parties to ensure meetings and presentations are executed seamlessly. This position represents the Executive or and interacts with department employees, senior management, other Bureaus, political figures, and external clients. Must be able to work well independently as well as part of the Business Administration team.
Your Role Accountabilities…
The Executive Administrative Assistant is the primary point of contact for advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative support to several CNN executives (typically VP and above). The position must also become very knowledgeable of company policy, processes and procedures in order to efficiently and thoroughly support executive needs. The position interacts frequently with the highest level of CNN management as well as high-profile external contacts. The position must frequently liaise with Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Travel and primary clients, acting as a 360 degree business resource. Position is on a 24/7 schedule. May serve as backup business administrative support for a client group.
Qualifications and Experience…
• BA preferred or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of strong senior/executive level support experience.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) a must.
• Experience broadcast or media industry preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to computer systems and change.
• This position requires a high level of diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills are required.
• Must be extremely organized, know how to prioritize and have an eye for detail.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, ability to work independently in a high stress environment and able to manage many projects/tasks at once with ease and poise.
• Must be willing to be on-call on a 24x7 basis, reachable by phone.
• Must have a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
• Must possess superb integrity and professionalism.
• Must act proactively to meet executive's needs.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Must work well with minimal supervision.
• Must have a positive attitude.
