CNN is seeking an experienced Writer/Producer to join the CNN Brand Marketing team. This role focuses on building A/V campaigns that support our original series, domestic new programming, streaming service and Direct-to-Consumer business. Reporting to the Creative Director for Brand Marketing, the Writer/Producer will create compelling promotional content for the overall CNN brand, including live news, special events, longform content like CNN Original Series, and digital properties like CNN Podcasts and CNN.com. The Writer/Producer will collaborate with a team of writers, producers, designers, and editors to produce high-quality A/V campaigns that captivate and engage our audience.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Strategic Campaign Development: Craft compelling trailers, promos, and complete 360 campaigns that align with overall business objectives and brand fundamentals.
• Demand Creation: Drive demand for CNN's content and brand, adapting to the changing media landscape with a spirit of innovation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the production team and other cross-functional teams to produce eye-catching campaigns that effectively communicate the brand message and drive ratings and visits.
• Creative Development: Work closely with creative teams to develop world-class campaigns that represent CNN and its leading journalists.
• Campaign Optimization: Manage project schedules, timelines, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data-driven decision-making to refine strategies and improve campaign outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience...
• At least 5 years of experience in a broadcast environment or creative agency.
• Proven track record of top-caliber creative campaigns.
• Experience working with editors and agencies.
• Professional proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Exceptional editorial skills and ability to craft compelling trailers, promos, and complete 360 campaigns.
• Strong narrative writing skills, visual selection, and music editing.
• Exceptional project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Self-starter and strong team player who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced news environment.
• Keen eye for detail and ability to anticipate needs.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under daily time constraints.
• Passion for the creative process and excellence in collaborative environments.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $63,000.00 - $117,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
