This is a Full Time Job
Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications & Awards, the Awards Assistant Manager for CNN works on all aspects of awards process from pre-entry through post-ceremony for approximately 150 awards per year of varying profiles (including but not limited to News & Docs Emmys, Webbys, Overseas Press Club, George Polk Awards, Alfred I. duPont Columbia Awards, Peabodys, etc.) for all CNN Worldwide programming (Newsgathering, U.S. Programming, CNNi Programming, CNN Digital, CNN Originals etc.) and collaborate with CNN PR team as needed.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Manage and execute entries within hard deadlines for competitions with minimal supervision.
• Develop knowledge of CNN programming and talent along with a strong comprehension of awards rules and submission categories.
• Complete accurate entry forms in accordance with eligibility requirements and manage all support materials (including cutting clips, collecting photos, etc.).
• Gather nomination and ceremony materials such as photos, key art and music and responsible for cutting clip packages for submissions.
• Assist with executive submissions for industry awards and trade honors.
• Assist with ceremony-related tactical details – gather and disseminate pertinent ceremony and red-carpet information, coordinate nominee and executive attendance and facilitate publicist credentials.
• Draft timely memos announcing nominations and wins. These documents must be absolutely accurate and their formatting flawless as they are circulated company-wide and beyond.
• Maintain CNN programming calendars and acquire all credits, crew lists and cast lists.
• Create and maintain awards voter database to leverage for screening and event invite outreach.
Qualifications and Experience...
• EXTREMELY organized, thorough, accurate and meticulously detail-oriented.
• Entertainment-related experience is required. Awards and PR experience is strongly preferred.
• Highly efficient and deadline-driven, successful at multitasking and prioritizing an enormous volume of concurrent tasks and responsibilities.
• Self-motivated, reliable and able to work and think independently while being a solid team player.
• Quick yet thoughtful problem solving and follow through.
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form.
• Adaptable to ever-changing awards and programming landscapes.
• Calmly handles stress and various personalities with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends on a seasonal basis and as needed throughout the year.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skillset, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
