Tape Producer

CNBC is looking for a self-starter who anticipates the needs of the show with regard to video, graphics, scripts and other elements while also taking direction from producers. A creative thinker to collaborate, strategize and create dynamic video which drives daily broadcast. Should bring passion to producing compelling video to be used across multiple platforms and help enhance high profile brand.
• Must be able to multi-task, edit video and be knowledgeable in social media.
• Candidate should be able to write copy for teases and promos, produce and order graphics.
• Ability to shoot video, interviews and basic editing skills, preferably AVID, a plus.
• Stay up-to-date on show rundowns to ensure that all video footage is in place and is current.
• Quickly turnaround video while on air.
• Straight cut video and work with editors when needed
• Notify control room/ line producer of images coming in
• Assist producers with interplay/desktop editing where needed
• Communicate clearly and efficiently with the Graphics Producer and other producer staff; surface any bottlenecks to the Creative Manager to ensure a smooth and productive workflow
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment, deal with intense deadline pressure and continually react to breaking news with smart programming and creative storytelling.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
• At least 3 years' experience in production
• At least 2 years' tape, field and editing experience required
