Responsibilities
CNBC is looking for a talented Graphic Designer who will be responsible for contributing to our online video initiatives in EMEA to create high-quality, timely and innovative still artwork, GIFs and motion graphics for use in digital videos and online platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver a range of material such as artwork, GIFs and motion graphics for content specifically produced for CNBC's online platforms.
- Work collaboratively or independently either as part of a wider project or within a self-contained brief.
- Provide inspiration and ideas for the digital team.
- Work towards a good understanding of the Channel's branding, practices and systems.
- Conceive and design exciting and contemporary digital graphic elements appropriate to the Channel's corporate image and standards.
- Find creative graphic solutions in the short time scales of a busy news environment.
- Keep up to date with the latest software, technologies and methods of graphics production.
- Work with all wider creative, editorial and marketing teams to deliver integrated work.
- Achieve all requested projects on time and on budget

Qualifications
/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Graphic/Motion Design or Interactive Design
- Demonstrate experience in creating High level video graphics via show reel and portfolio of work
- Fluency in graphics and animation programmes including Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects
- Display competency with digital video formats
- Strong knowledge of moving image and current animation techniques.
- Creative, passionate about design and with an eye for detail.
- Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of typographic best practice.
- Capable retouching and colour correction skills for still and moving imagery.
- Knowledge of basic HTML, CSS and Javascript is advantageous.
- Ability to visualize data and the written word and express/enhance the narrative in graphics/animations to achieve the editorial vision.
- Good organizational and decision-making skills, able to communicate clearly with the team.
- Experienced in high volume of work and tight turnaround deadlines.
- Able to operate fast and efficiently in a pressurised environment.
- Proactive in generating new and relevant ideas.
