Responsibilities
The Experiential Account Manager is a critical member of the CNBC Events sales and marketing team. This team is responsible for all sponsorship efforts within the growing CNBC events portfolio, which includes more than 20 conferences, thought leadership dinners, and other live events annually.
This role involves significant client contact and project management duties, with the Manager serving as the main point of contact for all event sponsors post-sale and overseeing all aspects of client integration into each CNBC event.
This position is based at CNBC headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, and will be expected to maintain regular presence at the sales & marketing office in the New York City. Reports to the Director of Sales Marketing.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Manage all event sponsors post-sale and trouble-shoot as necessary
• Lead client kick-offs and regular planning calls
• Create sponsor timelines and project manage all details of event sponsorship, working in close coordination with sales, marketing, production, editorial, and audience development teams
• Creatively conceive sponsor activations, in coordination with the events production team, to align with client goals and enhance attendee experience
• Attend all events to coordinate on-site sponsor activations with production team and manage sponsors on-the-ground
• Participate in event planning meetings to represent commercial side and advocate for sponsors
• Liaise with media & events sales/marketing teams during pitch-phase to develop customized client ideas that fulfill client KPIs and work within the scope of each event
• Create all post-event recap documents for clients
• Attend relevant client meetings and support with sponsorship renewals
• Maintain a strong understanding for industry standards and competitive landscape and share updates with events team
• Work in coordination with the Director of Sales & Marketing to develop appealing sponsorship benefits packages to maximize revenue potential for events business
• Manage all contracts and invoicing
Qualifications/Requirements
- College degree
- Five or more years of related experience, in account management, integrated marketing, ad sales, or events
- Must have experience, comfort, and enthusiasm for working with senior-level clients
- Demonstrated skills in PowerPoint and Excel
