Job Description
CNBC Digital Video is looking for a business-news-obsessed associate producer for its News and Programming team. The role requires creating and curating video covering the most important business, market, and political stories of the day.
The ideal candidate is a motivated, disciplined, and tech-savvy producer who can craft smart headlines, work under tight deadlines, and collaborate across several departments at CNBC. The associate producer's main responsibilities will include covering several hours of TV programming each day.
In addition, the producer will help produce reporter-led videos for CNBC's Pro and Investing Club offerings, contribute to social videos, and create other content for strategic initiatives

Main responsibilities:
• Work on daily assignments at the direction of the News and Programming manager.
• Clip and curate news moments each day, including full interviews and packages.
• Craft compelling and accurate headlines and descriptions for videos appearing on CNBC.com and other platforms.
• Shoot, edit, and produce news-focused short-form videos.
• Script, produce and edit high-quality, investing-focused videos for CNBC Pro and CNBC Investing Club, in collaboration with reporters
• Collaborate with digital and TV reporters to create reporter-led video analysis tied to timely news.
• Be flexible and willing to work during non-business hours, including early-morning shifts starting at 6 a.m. and evening shifts ending at 8 p.m.

Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
• At least one year of experience working in a fast-paced digital or TV newsroom.
• Strong writing skills and news judgment.
• Understanding of content management systems.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work early mornings, late nights, and/or weekends during busy news cycles and breaking news.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge of After Effects.
• Experience shooting with Sony F6 and F7, Canon C100, Canon C300 and Canon 5D in field and studio settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with Riverside, Wildmoka, or comparable tools.
• Understanding of basic economic and financial concepts and terminology.
