Job Description
Digital Marketing Coordinator
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in the development, execution, and optimization of digital marketing campaigns for CNBC's subscription products. This role is responsible for owning day-to-day campaign operations across email, push, and owned channels, in partnership with cross-functional teams including editorial, product, customer experience, and creative.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with hands-on experience in email marketing, marketing automation, and campaign QA. This person thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative media environment and can independently manage multiple campaigns while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution & Operations
• Build, deploy, and QA outbound marketing campaigns across email, push notifications, and owned channels using platforms such as Sailthru and Airship
• Own the end-to-end email campaign process, including audience segmentation, setup, scheduling, testing, and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic campaigns
• Perform rigorous quality assurance across all campaign elements, including links, tracking, personalization, and rendering
Campaign Management & Optimization
• Monitor and analyze campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and audience engagement
• Develop and maintain reporting on key metrics such as subscription conversions, audience segmentation performance, and lifecycle engagement
• Support ongoing optimization of campaigns through testing, insights, and performance analysis
Tracking & Technical Operations
• Manage and maintain UTM tracking, vanity URLs, and redirect logic to ensure accurate attribution and seamless user experience
• Oversee campaign tracking infrastructure, including maintaining internal tools such as tracking code generators and campaign trackers
• Proactively audit digital touchpoints (e.g., landing pages, registration walls, redirects) to ensure accuracy and consistency
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Partner with editorial, product, Customer Service, and creative teams to ensure marketing content is timely, accurate, and aligned with business goals
• Coordinate promotional campaigns, including gift-with-purchase (GWP) initiatives, from planning through execution
• Request, review, and manage creative assets across internal systems (e.g., SharePoint, Adobe Photoshop, Canva)
Lifecycle & Growth Support
• Assist in developing and executing strategies to grow the subscriber database, including acquisition and lifecycle marketing initiatives
• Support app push and onsite registration strategies to drive user acquisition and engagement
• Contribute to lifecycle marketing efforts, including maintaining audience segmentation and automated flows
Paid Media Support
• Assist with paid marketing campaigns by coordinating assets, drafting copy, and reviewing performance metrics
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure campaigns are executed effectively and optimized over time
Project Ownership & Communication
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining clear documentation and timelines
• Take ownership of assigned workstreams and proactively communicate status updates, risks, and opportunities
• Support the Senior Growth Marketing Manager on key initiatives and broader team priorities
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing campaign workflows, trackers, and documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for marketing copy and subject line optimization
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and proactively identify and resolve issues
• Highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative
Desired Qualifications
• 2 years of experience in digital marketing, lifecycle marketing, or campaign operations (media or DTC experience preferred)
• Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms (Sailthru preferred) and/or push notification tools (Airship preferred)
• Familiarity with marketing analytics and tracking, including UTM parameters, vanity URLs, and campaign QA best practices
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and experience with Adobe Photoshop or similar tools
