The Creative Strategist is responsible for identifying the insights that then help drive the unique proposition that they create in response to our clients' challenges. They work with CNBC's specialist teams of researchers, content producers, event experts, and other areas, to develop the best possible proposal for our client and agency customers. The sales leader (VP/AD) and their support (AE) both drive, and execute the proposal respectively, the AE compiling and producing the final presentation with all the assets generated by the creative strategist.
The Creative Strategist is responsible for driving innovation in all communication solutions (including digital and video content) for CNBC's commercial partners, with the primary aim of maximising revenue. The Creative Strategist will develop ground-breaking solutions that meet the client's objectives, whilst looking for the solution to augment the experience for CNBC's readers and viewers.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the Ad Sales team to respond to briefs with bespoke, strategic digital or TV content solutions. Responses will range from verbal input to producing a text-based proposal or creating a detailed 'PowerPoint' proposal and presenting it directly to the client or agency
- Work with the Creative Solutions commercial production team to ensure accurate production cost estimates and communicating details to the Ad Sales team (for media planning)
- Create project plans and assist in the deal review process for every successful proposal to ensure a smooth hand-over from pitch to contract and then to execution/production
- Work with the Head of Creative Solutions, Senior Creative Strategist and Executive Producer of Commercials to evolve CNBC's digital and TV commercial solutions offering, to ensure we maintain our innovative lead.
- Keep up-to-date with industry and technological advancements particularly in digital advertising and evolve client pitch and presentation process
- Staying informed on:
o Business news, how CNBC covers it and the key business and political newsmakers
o CNBC's regional programming and editorial schedules (TV and digital)
o Regional regulatory environments for broadcasters
o Competitive landscape – other media owner's strategies, successes and losses
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Expertise in TV and digital content production, including native advertising
- Experience developing or producing factual programming for broadcast on either TV on online
- Experience creating production budgets and project plans for TV or digital programme launches
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, track record of leading strategic marketing advice and experience of campaign development
- In-depth knowledge of latest trends in marketing, particularly digital, with a drive to stay up-to-date
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative, 'can do' approach that encourages co-operation between internal departments and helps to enhance CNBC's client relationships
- Creativity and a passion for innovative problem solving
- Unyielding integrity at all times
- An ability to multi-task and thrive in high-pressured environments
- A willingness to travel as required and to work flexible hours
- A higher university degree and a media qualification would be expected but is not a pre-requisite
- European languages would be an advantage
REQUIREMENTS

- Up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments in both digital and video
- Self-motivated
- Able to travel at short notice
