Responsibilities
CNBC is seeking a tech-savvy Coordinator to join the Audience Growth team. You will be responsible for curating, publishing and producing CNBC videos on YouTube, OTT apps and other digital syndication partners such as Peacock. If you are ambitious, obsessed with YouTube, understand viral video trends, and have superb analytical skills we are looking for you. You should also have solid business news judgment, strong writing and communication skills, and the ability to dive deep into audience analytics. As a Coordinator, you will learn from the best in the business journalism and your work will reach millions of viewers across digital platforms.
Job Duties:
• Publishing daily content and managing playlists to CNBC's YouTube channels
• Working closely with digital video teams to ensure timely publishing of VOD clips; scheduling videos for nights and weekends.
• Executing live event streaming including breaking news livestreams
• Developing knowledge of CNBC's areas of coverage
• Identifying the main business news stories of the day
• Optimizing videos to grow views, engagement, and subscribers
• Coordinating with internal product teams to ensure successful content delivery and proper monetization
• Participating in effective presentation of data and analysis to internal stakeholders
• Curate CNBC OTT apps for Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TV
• Monitor competitors for best practices in the rapidly evolving OTT and YouTube landscape
Qualifications
/Requirements
• Understanding of video curation and how video is shared across platforms
• Strong business news judgment and trending topics that resonate with the CNBC and YouTube audiences.
• Solid copy-editing and headline writing skills
• At least one year of editing experience with editing tools such as Avid and/or Premiere
• Experience with content management systems
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Excel and Google Sheets
• Familiarity with the OTT platform and video distribution tools
• Experience with handling video cameras and equipment
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or adhere to enhanced protocols if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.
Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge of the CNBC brands
• Previous experience (including internships) in journalism or news media preferred.
• An obsession with video platforms and innovative ways of digital storytelling.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and SEO best practices preferred.
