CNBC Digital is looking for a motivated associate generalist reporter to join our Business and Company News team, which covers everything from retail and transportation to banks and health. You'll help us cover our bases on company updates, trend stories and corporate earnings reports on a wide variety of industries. The ideal candidate for this role will be self-starting, agile, accurate and quick.
Responsibilities:
• Handle breaking news, same-day stories and real-time updates on stories under our team's broad umbrella.
• Pitch, report and write second-day analysis or longer feature stories that would appeal to a CNBC audience.
• Analyze corporate filings and contribute to quarterly earnings coverage.
• Incorporate photo selection, headline writing and SEO basics to help us move quickly on big news.

Qualifications
• 1 years of news reporting experience
• Experience in a digital and/or business newsroom.
• Experience writing breaking news in a fast-paced newsroom.
• You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Desired characteristics:
• A quick-thinking reporter who can juggle multiple tasks when needed.
• A collaborative approach, interested in working with fellow reporters and colleagues in TV, video and other departments.
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
