What you'll do:
CNBC is looking for an Associate Producer for Squawk on the Street. You will primarily work in a live news control room and play an integral part of covering the most significant financial stories of the day. At times you may also be asked to work from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange where our show studio is located.
*Please Note: Hours for this shift are approximately Monday- Friday 7 AM to 3 PM – but you will be expected to be available on e-mail as needed depending on breaking news and show changes
Responsibilities:
• Producing elements for various guest and reporter segments during a daily business program including video, graphics and lower thirds
• Contributing to the show’s social media accounts. This includes writing and posting text and video clips during the live show.
• Writing copy for daily segments
• Finding background information on a wide range of business and financial news stories using a variety of sources
• Researching segment ideas and segment information as directed
• Working with anchors on segment and guest ideas
• Assisting in the booking of guests and pre-interviews
• Familiarize yourself with key stocks tickers and operate live charts in control room

What you'll bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or business; or an equivalent degree
• At least 2 years of television production experience
• Experience with independently developing own story ideas, conducting research, and planning show segments
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news. Schedules will rotate, but must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and overnights.
• Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice, if needed.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
