Responsibilities
The Analyst will be a key member of CNBC's Program Research team, responsible for regular reporting of TV audience metrics to internal stakeholders including Programming/Scheduling, Marketing, Public Relations, and Finance. This individual will be adept at both data analysis and storytelling, able to transform large data sets into actionable insights.
Primary Responsibilities of the Analyst could include, but are not limited to:
• Collect, analyze, and interpret Nielsen ratings data for recurring reports and ad hoc requests
• Create in-depth reports on CNBC shows and competitive programs, synthesizing information from multiple data sets
• Identify multiplatform viewership trends that are relevant to the network and its target audience
• Help design and field primary research studies (e.g., surveys, dial tests, focus groups)
• Maintain CNBC program lineups using Nielsen's myEVNTS system
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in media, math/statistics, business, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience (includes internships) in audience research for a media company or advertising agency
• Experience working with Nielsen systems (e.g., NPOWER) and/or other audience measurement tools
• Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills
