2026-27 Seasonal Assistant, Business Operations (Monsters & Charge)
JOB SUMMARY:
The '2026-27Seasonal Assistant, Business Operations (Monsters & Charge)' will be responsible for a variety of duties touching various areas of the business. Duties will include assisting the Marketing team with campaign management including creative requests, ad trafficking, copywriting, trade fulfillment, and purchase orders. This position will assist both teams Communications & Digital departments in creating content, tracking media coverage and assisting with public relations/digital home and away game night duties as needed.
As a part of a team responsible for the development and execution of theme nights, this position will also focus on managing the fan experience on the concourse for Monsters and Charge home games. The Business Operations Seasonal Assistant will also be available to help with community promotional events and general office duties, such as writing game day agendas. The ideal candidate is looking to break into the industry and will be highly motivated to go above and beyond assigned duties to earn growth beyond this position.
* This is a temporary position from September 2026 - June 2027, that will work onsite at Rocket Arena approx. 40 hours per week.
* Local candidates strongly preferred. There is not relocation assistance or temporary housing provided for non-local candidates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Help oversee concourse activation and promotional executions on game days.
• Create and distribute game day marketing logs and Know Before You Go emails.
• Build and create marketing & team content for the Monsters Insider email database.
• Assist with running and promoting Monsters and Charge Kid Nation.
• Assist with Monsters away games including social game coverage, cutting goals and writing game summaries.
• Compile and distribute daily media clips.
• Assist with sorting game photos.
• Assist with packing and distributing media drops.
• Write human interest stories for the AHL and team websites throughout the season.
• Assist with organizing and requesting marketing up game requests and copywriting.
• Attend and assist in coordinating community promotional events.
• Assist with content capture in support of franchise digital teams.
• Assist with the execution of marketing campaigns including fulfillment of ticket trade, creating purchase orders, and submitting invoices.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude required.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University (or currently pursuing a BS Degree); Degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
• Computer literacy required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PP.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends for a total of 40 hours a week.
• Knowledge in Adobe Suite and AP Style writing is preferred.
• Position requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
