Public Address Announcer (Cleveland Charge)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Cleveland Charge (NBA G League affiliates owned and operated by the Cleveland Cavaliers) are looking for an energetic/outgoing Male OR Female Public Address Announcer Hosts for all home NBA G League basketball games at Cleveland State Wolstein Center for the remainder of this season. The ideal candidate will show a strong confidence and dedication to the position of Public Address Announcer. This includes checking scripts before the game and working closely with the Game Director. You must audition for this position, and more information will be available on that after applying.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead in-game announcements to fans (Lineups, promotional announcements, substitutions, etc.)
• Arrive to work prepared with proper pronunciations, familiarity with script, and all other information needed to perform
• Must report to the Wolstein Center 1.5 hours before each game for team meetings
• Possible voice-over involvement for marketing/broadcast elements.
• Other duties as assigned
• Self-confidence and enthusiasm to perform in front of large crowds.
• Clear and articulate speaking voice.
• Strong communication skills, outgoing personality, and interest in interacting with fans of all ages.
• Strong sense of humor, ability to laugh at themselves and engage fans in a variety of activities.
• Previous Public Speaking or Hosting experience required.
• Knowledge of game of basketball is required
• Ability to work varied schedule within season; primarily nights/weekends, plus additional community events, as needed.
• Creativity and initiative to actively collaborate with Game Presentation and Team Marketing on in-game elements/contests, video skits, promotions, team activities and fan relations.
• Must have valid driver's license or reliable transportation to Cleveland State Wolstein Center.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• Must be able to work every Cleveland Charge home game
• Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends, evenings, and/or holidays.
