Job Summary:
Rocket Arena is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented 'Assistant Manager, Box Office' to support the daily operations of our dynamic box office team. This individual will play a key role in leading administrative functions, supervising event operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service for all guests. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about live entertainment and sports.
** This role requires flexible working availability, including nights, weekends and occasional Holidays.
** This role requires joining the Local 756 Union.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Create training materials to support onboarding and continued staff development.
• Manage payroll and timekeeping for box office employees.
• Oversee all cash handling procedures and ensure compliance with venue policies.
• Assist in recruiting and onboarding seasonal and full-time staff.
• Build and maintain employee work schedules.
• Develop and update box office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Generate and distribute reports on box office activity, including sales and call volume.
• Work scheduled event nights and assist in managing event staff on-site.
• Provide ongoing leadership, support, and guidance to part-time and seasonal box office staff.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience is preferred.
• Must be willing to become a member of Local 756 Union. Non-negotiable.
• Flexible availability is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience working with ticketing systems is preferred. Seatgeek experience is a plus.
• Strong computer skills required, proficient in MS Office products.
• Proven customer service experience in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently while meeting deadlines.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, patience, and tact when interacting with guests and coworkers.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities under pressure.
