This is a Full Time Job
This position works in collaboration with Sports Complex Management and stadium partners including the San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, and the Peoria Diamond Club to execute all ticketing and event related functions including for Major League Baseball Spring Training, City of Peoria Special Events, and other contracted events. In addition, this position will oversee the event management processes including prospecting, contracting and execution of year-round private events.
The ideal candidate for this position will:
• Have progressive responsibilities in a ticket office setting with previous supervisory experience of seasonal or part-time staff. This includes but is not limited to an understanding of ticket management systems, reporting, basic accounting, and proper money handling procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of developing, marketing, and executing outbound ticket sales programs through maturation of own sales technique and leadership of seasonal sales team.
• Exhibit an ability and willingness to represent Sports Complex in a community outreach role to better promote the City of Peoria to residents and visitors accomplished through engagement, events, and marketing outlets.
• Possess excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field with preference to a degree in a related field, such as, but not limited to, Sports Management, Marketing, Business.
• A minimum of 3 years related experience requiring broad knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures in ticket office operations and ticket sales.
• Valid Driver's License
Preferred/Desirable Qualifications:
• Previous experience with the Tickets.com/ProVenue ticketing platform.
• Previous experience in event management.
• One year of pervious supervisory experience.
Hiring Salary: $68,414
