Production Room Manager (FT)
Are you passionate about sports and ready to take on a leadership role in Game Production? The City of Peoria is hiring a Production Room Manager at the Peoria Sports Complex for the 2024 Arizona Fall League and 2025 Spring Training seasons.
In this dynamic role, you'll oversee the production room, managing everything from the videoboard to stadium audio, ensuring smooth game day operations. You'll lead a team of Production Room Assistants, guiding them to deliver top-notch in-game experiences. This role requires previous experience with Daktronics or similar videoboard equipment, and preferably, experience in a sports setting. Production Room Managers may also be required to create basic graphics content for the videoboard. This position exercises supervision in the absence of a Coordinator or Supervisor.
Regular duties will include:
• Operate and maintain the stadium's sound system, scoreboard, and other production room elements
• Coordinate marketing and promotional features with real-time announcements
• Ensure a safe environment by enforcing proper safety standards
• Communicate effectively with patrons, volunteers, vendors, and team personnel
• Supervise in the absence of a Coordinator or Supervisor
Expectations:
• Work at least 3 games/15 hours per week (including one game Monday-Thursday)
• Commit to a schedule, arranging for a substitute or notifying the Stadium Supervisor if needed
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
• Strong knowledge of Daktronics, Sound Director, and production room programs (preferred)
• Understanding of baseball game procedures (preferred)
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Flexibility and adaptability under pressure
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends based on game times and event schedules
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Positive attitude and great customer service skills
Minimum Requirements:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Previous experience with videoboard, audio, or production room equipment preferred; sports and entertainment environment experience preferred
• Certification/License: Valid AZ Driver's License upon hire
Salary:
• Hourly Rate: $17.11
