LANTERMAN AUDITORIUM TECHNICIAN
(Part-time, Non-Exempt)
Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides responsible technical auditorium support services at the City's Lanterman Auditorium, including operation and maintenance of sound, lighting and stage rigging equipment and provides customer service to patrons; performs troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of equipment and facilities; and performs related work as required.
Education and Experience: Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Equivalent to the completion of twelfth (12th) grade and two (2) years of backstage auditorium or related experience. College course work in technical theater highly desired.
Work Schedule: Employees are required to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts can be established on a short notice; flexible availability is required. This is a part-time position with no guarantee of hours.
