Cinetic Media seeks an LA-based executive assistant starting immediately to support COO of the company.
Cinetic is a full-service talent management firm that specializes in film and television development, financing, sales, marketing, and PR, as well as strategic and corporate advisory work for companies. The firm represents an exceptional roster of artists and media companies, with projects including Summer of Soul, Parasite, Free Solo, Boyhood, A Private War, Moonlight, Amy, Napoleon Dynamite, and Little Miss Sunshine, among many others. The firm maintains offices in New York and Los Angeles.
Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Rolling calls, scheduling, and calendar management
- Conducting script coverage, special project and business research
- Liaising with staff in the New York office to organize internal communications
- IP sourcing, including rights checks, as well as the creation and evaluation of pitch materials
- In addition, role will be expected to interface with clients and filmmakers, serving as a point of contact with those outside the organization.
Office responsibilities will include:
- Managing office reception area and greeting guests
- Fulfilling supply orders and interfacing with vendors
- Managing other basic operations of office and identifying ways to improve processes
- Oversight of the LA internship program, including interviewing candidates, managing their day-to-day workflow, and facilitating opportunities between the interns and the executives.
This is an excellent opportunity to survey multiple facets of the company and participate in the growth of a growing management company. The ideal candidate has a passion for film and television, is a self-starter, and possesses a desire to gain exposure to the business and legal aspects of the entertainment industry. In addition, successful candidates demonstrate the ability to multi-task and problem solve as well as to discern and articulate qualities of written and produced material.
Above all, we seek a motivated, intellectually curious, and detail-oriented candidate with excellent organization, communication and writing skills. The position requires poise and judgement in a dynamic environment with sensitive client-related matters. Furthermore, teamwork and a collaborative working culture across our departments are fundamental to our culture.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree is required.
- At least 1-year agency/management company/production company/network experience preferred.
- Ability to work within deadlines, balance multiple projects and expectations, and maintain a sharp focus while managing competing priorities
- Attention to detail, follow-up, and strong organizational skills
- Adept at quickly learning new processes, technology, and ability to become familiar with existing systems
- Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite and in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe suite is a plus.
- Familiarity with film, television or other entertainment contracts is helpful, but not required.
