Cinespace is expanding in Los Angeles! We are looking for a Lighting Operations Manager to join our adept team at Cinespace Lighting as an in-person, full-time lead at our new Woodland Hills studio campus. This is a hands-on, client-facing role suited perfectly for someone with deep knowledge of LA’s Lighting & Grip rental landscape. As part of the Cinespace Lighting team, you’ll play a key role in delivering top-tier service in a fast-paced equipment rental environment. Job Responsibilities Include:
- Be the on-the-ground presence and local lead for Cinespace Lighting in Woodland Hills
- Receive and address incoming lighting & grip equipment requests from crew
- Coordinate with the Cinespace Lighting Management (CSLM) team in building rental orders inside Rental Tracker Pro for submission, review, and approval by production
- Work with local LA rental houses and the CSLM team to fulfill any necessary subrentals
- Physically manage the checkouts and check-ins of equipment including applicable Loss & Damage charges
- Maintain Physical Inventory (PI) processes and PI Reporting
- Communicate any needed inventory transfer requests to the CSLM Team with reasonable transit time to LA
- Maintain and repair CSL-owned equipment in the Woodland Hills inventory
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of Los Angeles equipment trends, needs, and market
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently as part of a larger team
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Rental Tracker Pro (or similar inventory tracking software)
- Proven experience in administration, office team environment, or similar team role
