Intern - Casting

This is a Full Time Paid Internship

Seeking an intern to work full-time, Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm (somewhat flexible) immediately for at least 3 months. Small stipend available.

Cindy Tolan is an independent casting director. Credits include “Blue Valentine,” “It’s Kind of a Funny Story,” “Henry’s Crime,” “Letters to Juliet,” The Private Lives of Pippa Lee,” “Flight of the Conchords” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” on HBO, “Fringe” on FOX, “The Darjeeling Limited,” “Sherry Baby,” “Kinsey,” “Personal Velocity,” “The Ballad of Jack and Rose,” and “The Namesake.” Theatre credits include “That Championship Season,” “A View from the Bridge,” “All My Sons,” “Xanadu,” “Avenue Q,” “Arturo Ui” with Al Pacino, productions at the Vineyard Theatre, Bay Street, Transport Group, and Lincoln Center.

We are looking for a bright, motivated, organized, discrete and pleasant individual with great problem solving skills and a positive attitude. We are particularly interested in interns with no ego who want to learn about all mediums of casting (film, TV and theatre) from the ground up. Some of the responsibilities of interns include greeting visitors, filing, answering phones, delivering packages, editing video, various research, and preparing audition sessions for a variety of theatre, film, and TV projects.

Ability to work on individual projects with minimal supervision is necessary. Experience with the latest editing and DVD creation technology and knowledge of musical theatre a plus. Must be comfortable around dogs.
