Start dates variable. Pay for SESAME STREET LIVE $366/wk $346 per diem. Pay for BARNEY LIVE IN CONCERT $400/wk $346 per diem.

NOTE: Seeking adults only. To be considered for a role, performer must turn 18 years of age by March 1, 2011.

For “Sesame Street Live”
[All “Sesame Street” Muppet characters, inc. Elmo, Abby, Bert, Ernie, Big Bird, etc.] open age and ethnicity; 4’10” – 6’0”, specific heights vary by character; require an excellent mover, technical dance training preferred, with the ability to be imaginative and expressive within a full-body costume.

[Featured Live Roles] Female; 18-30; open ethnicity; 5’3” – 5’7”; excellent movers; strong singing skills with range from A below Middle C to E above Middle C. Some roles need belt to C above Middle C. Face roles, roles double-cast/split with full-body costume character. Characters are enthusiastic and helpful as they interact with the Muppets, and need the warmth and energy to relate directly to children in the audience without talking down to them.

For “Barney Live in Concert”
[Barney the Dinosaur] open age and ethnicity, 5’10” – 6’0”; require an excellent mover, with the ability to be imaginative and expressive within a full-body costume.

[The Dinosaurs BJ; 4’9” – 5’1”; Riff, 4’3” – 4’9”; and Baby Bop, 4’0” – 4’4”] open age and ethnicity; require excellent movers, with the ability to be imaginative and expressive within a full-body costume; these are non-singing roles.

[Alex] Male; 18 to 28; open ethnicity; to play imaginative, playful, young-at-heart characters; strong dance and singing skills. Face role.

[Male Chorus Role/Cover] 18 to 28; 5’10” – 6’0”; open ethnicity; to cover the role of Alex and the full-body costume role of Barney; and other ancillary characters. Performs every show in his own chorus role unless covering.

[Jessie] Female; 18 to 28; open ethnicity; to play imaginative, playful, young-at-heart character; strong dance and singing skills. Face role.

[Female Chorus Role/Cover & Female Swing] 18 to 28; 4’9” – 5’1”; open ethnicity” to cover the role of Jessie and the full-body costume roles of BJ, Riff; and other ancillary characters. Cover performs every show in her own chorus role unless covering. Swing rotates into BJ, Riff and chorus roles as needed.

Auditions by appointment ONLY will be held in New York on February 28th with callbacks on March 1st. Performers not in the New York area WILL be considered.
