Department: Marketing and Communications
Job Title: Social Media Intern
Reports to: Director of Digital Media
FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Commitment: March 16 – September 30, 2020
Job Purpose: The Cincinnati Reds seek a creative, resourceful, tech-savvy intern to work as a content creator for our social media department during the 2020 baseball season.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create video and motion graphics for Reds social media with the goal of fan engagement.
• Take photos during Reds home games and events.
• Edit and catalog department photos taken during Reds games and events.
• Work as part of the social media team to brainstorm topical, original content that fits within the brand and content strategy.
• Assist in execution of social media promotions and events.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or have achieved an undergraduate degree in Electronic Media, Film/Video Production, Graphic Design, Communications or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - especially Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
• Experience creating video and motion graphic content for various social media platforms.
• Proficiency gathering ENG/B-Roll footage.
• Experience working with social platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and TikTok.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to collaborate successfully in a team setting.
• General understanding of Major League Baseball rules, teams and players.
• Passion for social media and Reds baseball.
Expectations:
• Adhere to Cincinnati Reds Organization Policies and Procedures.
• Act as a role model within and outside the Cincinnati Reds Organization.
• Display a professional image and demeanor with a positive and optimistic approach.
• Meet department productivity standards.
Schedule:
• Available to work the majority of the 81 Cincinnati Reds home games in 2020.
• Approximately 30-35 hours per week; night/weekend hours will be required, including games.
Work Environment:
• Employee will be working outside during games and therefore will be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
• Hours will include nights, weekends and holidays.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes required to stand for long periods of time and carry video equipment.

• This is a seasonal opportunity and no benefits will be provided.
• • Seasonal staff members are paid at State of Ohio minimum wage.
