THE CINCINNATI REDS COMMUNITY FUND IS A 501(c)(3) CORPORATION.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY EXTENDED BY THE CINCINNATI REDS COMMUNITY FUND. VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE EMPLOYEES OF THE CINCINNATI REDS, THE CINCINNATI REDS COMMUNITY FUND OR THEIR SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES. VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE COMPENSATED FOR TIME DONATED TO THE CINCINNATI REDS COMMUNITY FUND. VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY BENEFITS.
Fun At Bat is an enrichment program based in baseball for all kids. The overarching goal of this program is to promote fun and active lifestyles for children while teaching them the fundamentals of baseball.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibility is instructing 15-20 Cincinnati Public School students the skills of baseball
• Create a positive, fun environment in which children and adults can enjoy the game of baseball.
• Promote high self-esteem and self-confidence by giving children the opportunity to learn and succeed in baseball.
• Model and teach the fundamentals of healthy competition and emphasize teamwork and good sportsmanship.
• Each Volunteer will be expected to attend training course along with 6 sessions of Fun at Bat program at various Cincinnati Public Schools.
Requirements:
• Must have an available schedule from March 16th - May 15th to attend Fun At Bat practices and games
• Must pass background check provided by the Reds Community Fund
• Must present self in a professional manner to interact with participants of program Cincinnati Public School staff and Reds Community Fund staff.
• Must have the ability to handle and coordinate large groups of people in secure and sensitive areas.
• Must be an energetic self-starter with an outgoing personality.
• Must work well with kids.
• Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Expectations:
• Adhere to Cincinnati Reds policies and procedures.
• Act as a role model within and outside the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund Organization.
