Department: Player Development
Job Title: Coordinator of Minor League Nutrition
Reports To: Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coordinator/Major League Dietitian
Job Purpose: Oversee the sports nutrition program for all of the minor league affiliates within the Cincinnati Reds organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee the administration of the minor league nutritional programs.
• Lead initiatives to design quality menus, adhere to budgets, assure meal deliveries and payments to catering companies, and present food that is to the Cincinnati Reds standard of quality.
• Travel to designated Minor League affiliates in order to evaluate and oversee the daily nutrition provided.
• Maintain communication regarding player nutrition with both the clubhouse staffs, as well as each affiliate's strength and conditioning coach.
• Provide nutritional guidelines to each affiliate for both pre and post-game spreads.
• Evaluate and oversee daily nutrition of the Dominican Republic Academy.
• Monitoring daily snacks provided by club for each Minor League Affiliate.
• Update/add to the educational components for individual nutritional coaching, as well as group sessions.
• Conduct individual player consultations as needed and/or requested throughout the year, including the offseason.
• Submit bi-weekly reports depicting each affiliate's current nutritional status, as well as providing individual player meeting updates.
• Stay up-to-date with all scientific research regarding sports nutrition.
• Evaluating and researching of current NSF Certified for Sport supplements as requested by the strength and conditioning staff.
Experience, Education and Licensure:
• Registered Dietitian (RD), required.
• Master's degree in nutritional sciences, food science, exercise physiology, or related field, preferred.
• Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), preferred.
Work Environment:
• Work is normally performed in a office or on-field setting.
• Employee may have ''game day'' responsibilities where the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
• Hours will include nights, weekends and some holidays.
Expectations:

• Act as a role model within and outside the Cincinnati Reds Organization.
• Performs duties as workload necessitates.
• Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
• Meet Department productivity standards.
